I'm done with online poker. I gave it up for 8 months and just recently came back for a look. I play 2/4 NL or 3/6 NL at PStars - usually 6 handed tbls
I've played about 20 sessions in the past month. On about 15 of those sessions I tapped out, all in, on horrendous beats. The 5 other sessions, I built my bankroll and logged out.
On four of my busts I flopped a lower set than my opponent. yes, that's right, we both flop SETS and I got the short end four different times. Very difficult to get away from a flopped set with no str8 or flush drw on the board. On the third one, I pretty much knew before I saw his cards, I could just feel it.
On three of my busts I was on the button three separate times with JJ, QQ, and KK. All 3 times, the table folds all the way around to the player sitting on my right. He bets, I raise with a nice PP, he re-raises and away we go all in. In all three scenarios, the opponent had PP one value higher than me.
I also busted out 3 separate times on preflops all ins, me having a painted PP vs. my opponent having a very low PP. NO... he didn't catch a set, all three were river flushs. Mind you , these were preflop all ins so I have great odds with the higher PP.
tonite I busted out after catching top pair with a flush draw. I get called on my all in and my opponent catches the same flush draw I am on, ace high.
I don't mind losing these ways once in awhile... believe me. B/c I have won my share of these type hands and i know it's the game. but this was just too much all at one in a single month. Just about everyone of my sessions I have tripled my bankroll with a few hrs of play before running into the above scenarios. Just tired of the crap. i'm done
ok, yes, I already see that someone wants to respond and say. ohhhh, you TRIPLED your bankroll before getting rolled and still complain? yea... that's what I am doing. I like to play for a few hrs. at a time. and just cause i play for 2 or 3 hrs doesn't mean the odds have caught up to me an have to pay the piper.
